State Grid Awards Kingsoft Office Software Deal

Chinese entertainment and application software developer Kingsoft (3888.HK) has announced a software deal with the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) worth over RMB 10 mln. Under the deal SGCC will purchase Kingsoft's WPS Office 2007 suite for each of its 31 regional grid companies, its provincial electric power companies, and 21 subordinate units.

Kingsoft's office suite is currently installed and used by a number of government and commercial institutions around China, including the Beijing Municipal Government, the People's Bank of China, the Agricultural Bank of China and Tencent (0700.HK).
